AUTUMN CLASSICS: BRUCH’S SCOTTISH FANTASY
15th November 2026, 15:00

Our autumn concert celebrates the pastoral beauty and distinctive musical voice of Britain.
Butterworth's evocative A Shropshire Lad captures the warmth of the English countryside, while Bruch's Scottish Fantasy brings the colour and spirit of Scotland to the concert through its richly lyrical solo violin writing. The programme culminates in Elgar's majestic Symphony No. 1, a work steeped in the grandeur, lyricism and unmistakable character of 20th century English music.
Our international violin soloist, Basil Alter, studied at the Manhattan School of Music and the Royal Academy in London under Tasmin Little. We are delighted to share the stage with him at the Stag!
Tickets are now available from The Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks
