We welcome in the warmer months with an evening of Spring Classics.
The programme begins with Brahms's Academic Festival Overture, sparkling with some of the finest virtues of his orchestral technique. Grieg's ever popular Peer Gynt Suite follows. Award winning flautist Emma Halnan joins SSO to perform Mozart's much loved Flute Concerto in G. The night concluding with Dvorák's inspiring New World Symphony, a tape recording of which Neil Armstrong took with him during the Apollo 11 moon landing mission of 1969 – a truly uplifting work!
This concert is part of our season ticket scheme, tickets are also on sale now at the Stag Theatre box office.
