Would you like to play some of the great orchestral repertoire (mainly 19th & 20th century)? We don't hold formal auditions, so if you are interested, why not come along to a rehearsal, or to one of our "repertoire evenings" when we play through music we are not rehearsing for a concert? We rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 8pm, generally during school term time, at the Sevenoaks County Primary School, Bradbourne Park Road, TN13 3LB. Free parking is available in the school grounds and near the school entrance in Bradbourne Park Road.

Our Cello section is in good health, but we still have a bit of room for violinists (at least Grade VIII), and we would really like to find some more violas, and another double bass; do contact us if you are one! While our woodwind section is currently full we would still like to hear from you if you are of Grade VIII standard - an opportunity might arise at any time. We often have room for brass players.

We are a friendly and sociable bunch! Apart from rehearsal tea breaks there's plenty of opportunity to chat to others in a local pub afterwards, and our Christmas and Summer parties are popular with friends and families too. A report from our 2007 Play for Pleasure and barbecue can be found here.

To contact us, please fill in our enquiry form, or if you would like to talk to someone please call our chairman, Charles Hebert, on 01732 464218.

Repertoire evenings and the rehearsal schedule can be found via the menu.
